We have an opportunity for you to join our team as our Senior Charity Verification Team Manager for the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) You will be an integral part of our Charity Verification team who are responsible for reviewing and approving distribution of donations to charities across the globe. Our office is based in Kings Hill, Kent where you will be initially based full time for training and you will be based part of your time in the office and part of your time working from home, once training has been successfully completed.

You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week. Working hours of the team range from 8am to 6pm on a rota basis, with an hour for lunch but flexibility is available.

As our Senior Charity Verification Team Manager your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and motivate a specialist team who verify charitable organisations in the UK and overseas
  • Effectively manage the work flow of  the team, ensuring that the team’s SLA’s are met
  • Provide support and guidance to team members and key stakeholders on complex case reviews
  • Act as an escalation point to team members and key stakeholders
  • Authorising Anti-money laundering(AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) approvals for all donations to mitigate country risk and carry out all associated searches and investigations
  • Authorising bank details, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) approval reports and audit reports
  • Responsibility for reviewing instructions sent with donations to ensure the purpose of the donation is Gift Aid compliant

Skills required of our Senior Charity Verification Team Manager:

  • Previous administration/customer service experience
  • Previous line management experience of leading and motivating a team is essential
  • Ability to manage and distribute workload ensuring that SLA’s are met across multiple work streams
  • Strong and effective communication skills required across  key stakeholder groups
  • Experience investigating information
  • Anti money laundering regulations experience (beneficial)
