Salary: Up to £46,000 per annum (depending on experience)
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Impact Consultant within Charities Aid Foundation’s Impact Accelerator. You will be an integral part of our team of experts providing high-value, bespoke advice and consultancy to individuals, corporates, foundations, public sector organisations and charities.
What you will do

As an Impact Consultant, your role will be to deliver high-value consultancy work that enables philanthropists, corporates, charities, trusts/foundations and public bodies to maximise their social impact. You will lead projects end-to-end, produce clear and compelling strategic deliverables and cultivate strong, trusted client relationships. You will help grow CAF’s Impact Accelerator offering by identifying opportunities, strengthening long-term partnerships, and supporting multi-service work that combines consultancy, grantmaking and social investment. You will also champion best practice, share expertise across teams and contribute to CAF’s thought leadership through collaboration, knowledge exchange and external engagement.
As our Impact Consultant you will:
- Deliver CAF’s strategic consultancy ensuring high-quality consultancy support for private clients, corporates, public sector bodies, charities and trusts/foundations
- Act as a trusted adviser to philanthropists, corporate leaders and charity executives, shaping and strengthening their giving and impact strategies, impact measurement frameworks, evaluation approaches, fundraising effectiveness and governance practices as well as other relevant areas
- Maintain deep expertise of philanthropic trends and sector developments, monitoring best practice, innovations and applying these insights to strengthen client recommendations
- Own end-to-end project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a consistently high standard, while cultivating exceptional client relationships and service experiences
- Drive collaboration across the Impact Accelerator, contributing to the development of an integrated client offering and proactively identifying opportunities for cross-team synergies and growth
- Contribute to the development of the Consultancy team’s pipeline and ensuring a proactive approach to identifying and advancing opportunities
- Drive client retention and expansion, strengthening long-term relationships and leading efforts to secure multi-year, multi-service agreements that integrate consultancy, grantmaking and social investment capabilities
- Serve as a key source of expertise for colleagues across the Private Client and Corporate Client teams
- Facilitate knowledge sharing across CAF’s UK and global network, promoting the exchange of learnings, best practice and innovations to enhance CAF’s consultancy capabilities and client offering
- Position CAF as a thought leader in the sector, contributing to the organisation’s public profile and ensuring it is recognised as a partner of choice for funders and charities alike
- Represent CAF externally by participating in sector events, contributing to campaigns and thought leadership content and actively building networks that raise CAF’s profile among private clients, corporates, charities, and trusts/foundations. Promote CAF’s integrated end-to-end offering through the Impact Accelerator
Who we are looking for
This role is for you if you have experience of working in an Impact Consultancy environment especially for private and corporate clients or have relevant transferable skills and are keen to make a difference to society. We are looking for an Impact Consultant that has:
- Experience advising foundations, individual philanthropists, charities, corporates and/or the public sector
- Experience of advising clients on philanthropy, grantmaking, sustainability, fundraising, strategy, research, governance, impact measurement and evaluation, programmatic design and/or practice
- Experience in analysing complex systems and producing workable strategies and proposals, presentations, research, recommendations, etc
- Ability to build and consolidate strong relationships with current and potential clients
- Ability to facilitate workshops and discussions with very clear outputs and outcomes
