Location: Kings Hill-based (Kent)] with hybrid working (initially full-time office based during any training period and then minimum of 3 days per week in the office).

Salary: £32,500 - £36,500 per annum, dependant in experience

We’re looking for a highly experienced CDD Analyst to join our multi-talented CDD Team at Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).  

You will be an integral part of our award-winning team, who conduct customer due diligence on new and existing customers, including high net worth individuals, corporate entities, and charities as well as investigation into unusual and high value transactions.

What you’ll do

At CAF, every one of us contributes to our success, and as a CDD Analyst you too will play an integral part in what we do.

Using your knowledge & experience as a CDD Analyst you will:

  • Assess document verification, ownership structures, and identify UBO information in line with KYC/KYB requirements.
  • Using databases, external and internal, and conducting research as part of your due diligence.
  • Accurately record all information in the system, escalating any errors or anomalies.
  • Verifying and analysing documentation.
  • Chasing customers by phone & email for any outstanding documentation or information.
  • Document review to confirm their legal authenticity.
  • Conducting day-to-day compliance monitoring including managing AML and customer screening.
  • Performing customers and related parties’ screenings for sanctions, PEP and adverse media, searching for potential risks or discrepancies, reviewing, assessing and escalating if necessary.
  • Managing high risk relationships including with PEPS.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert.
  • Consideration and investigation of internal SARs and the submission of external SARs to the MLRO.

Who you’ll be

This role is for you if you have extensive experience of working in a CDD team and with high-net-worth individuals, corporate entities, and charities. Along with;

  • Tangible and demonstrable experience & understanding of the AML requirements for a wide range of client types with both simple complex ownership structures in high-risk jurisdictions. Client types would include Individuals, Corporate entities, and Charities.
  • Solid experience of applying a risk-based approach when analysing the profile of a prospective client and deciding what CDD requirements should be applied.
  • Clear understanding of the various financial crime and reputational risk-factors to consider when onboarding a new client.
  • Experience in compiling and summarising escalations (PEP sign off, Adverse Media sign off, High Risk client sign off) for Senior Management review / periodic review.
  • The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to carry out research, analysis and summarise the results of their findings in a clear manner.
