Week one Monday- Wednesday Kings Hill and Thursday- Friday WFH
Week Two Monday -Tuesday WFH and Wednesday-Friday Kings Hill
Location: Kings Hill-based (Kent) with hybrid working
Salary: £26,428 per annum
We’re looking for a talented Payments Officer to join our Payments at CAF Bank
At CAF Bank, every one of us contributes to our impact, and as our Payments Officer you too will play an integral part in what we do.
Undertaking daily processing and verification of financial payments received into the Payments Team including Faster Payments, CHAPS, Foreign Credits and Debits, Direct Debits and Cheque Clearing, and to collate and process Money Market deals on a daily basis.
To handle payment related investigations and queries.
This role also provides assistance and support to other members of the Payments Team, covering other jobs where necessary.
We’re looking for a talented Payments Officer to join our Payments at CAF Bank, part of Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).
What you’ll do

As our Payments Officer you will:
• Process payments with accuracy
• Investigate rejections and process
• Verification of payments.
• Use third party applications for some payments
• Collaborate with the Payments Officers supporting workload
• To ensure confidentiality of customer and staff records and all times
• To maintain the operational environment with due regard to CAF Health and Safety Policy requirements to ensure a safe working environment for colleagues and visitors.
• Process and validate all types of payment instructions including Faster Payments and CHAPs
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and anti-money laundering (AML) policies.
• Reconcile payment transactions and investigate any discrepancies or failures.
• Maintain accurate records of payment transactions and approvals.
• Monitor and manage payment SLAs.
• Assist in resolving customer and correspondent bank queries regarding payments
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
Who you’ll be
This role is for you if you have experience of working in payments or have relevant transferable skills and are keen to make a difference to society. We are looking for: -
- Experience working within payments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good eye for detail
- Banking Experience
