Location: Kings Hill based, with hybrid working (2 days per week in the KH office)

Salary: Circa £65,000 per annum  

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as our Business Assurance Manager for CAF Bank, part of Charities Aid Foundation

The role will work in conjunction with the Head of Business Change and Assurance, providing day-to-day oversight of quality assurance, reporting, and Operational risk and control measures.  Responsible for building operating procedures aligned to Policies in a way that is effective and efficient.  Audit based governance to ensure the compliance of our practices and approaches with internal and external requirements.  Management and deployment of an audit programme.  Manage internal and external regulatory audits.  Also contributing to the maintenance of our excellent customer service with responsibility for the Bank incident and crisis management, Operational Resilience and outsourcing monitoring.  

The ideal candidate will have extensive banking and strong risk management experience and be a confident team manager. You will demonstrate both excellent written and verbal communication skills and will have the ability to communicate at all levels including Senior Management, third party suppliers, and deputising for the Head of Business Change and Assurance internal and external meetings, boards and committees.

As our Business Assurance Manager, you will:

  • Implementing and maintaining the Bank’s Risk Management Framework across the First Line of Defence (1LOD) within Bank Operations.
  • Managing Operational Resilience work streams.
  • Outsourcing and supplier management.
  • Incident Management.
  • Business Assurance activities.

This role is for you if you have experience of working in a similar position and have relevant transferable skills and are keen to make a difference to society. We are looking for:

  • Technical understanding of risk methodologies, risk control frameworks and the ability to drive and deliver implementation.
  • Management experience in a financial service regulated organisation.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
